Surprisingly, for such an old franchise, Godzilla has had a strong presence in video games since the beginning of the medium. Though appearing in several unlicensed capacities early on, in the early 80s Godzilla began being licensed to appear in multiple virtual escapades. Since then, a fairly steady stream of video games in the franchise have been released, expanding from PCs, to home consoles, and even into the casinos of Las Vegas.
