Power Rangers

Power Rangers is an American entertainment and merchandising franchise that first aired in 1993.  The story centers upon several teams of costumed heroes endowed with intergalactic powers, battling the forces of evil - and particularly giant monsters - using a series of enormous battle vehicles known as Zords.  The series was originally produced by Saban Entertainment - though the property has changed hands several times throughout its lifetime - though it liberally borrows footage and premises from the Japanese tokusatsu Super Sentai, produced by Toei.
